This color picker is exactly what I have been looking for. With my old color picker, I would pick the color, then I would open Illustrator to get the variations.
This color picker is superior. Not only does it pickup the color, it gives me the option of adjusting the color lighter or darker, and I no longer have to open Illustrator to get variations of the color.
Thank you so much for this app!

This is a very nice programm. I used Firefox with the extension Colorzilla, but if I hover a field, I can't see the original color. Your programm can show.
ACP would be perfect, if I could enter a RGB and see the resulting color.

It worked perfectly, and achieved the result I was looking for. Very easy to use, and resulted in a seamless picture from the existing color to the one I added that had to match.

Not knowing about the source, I deleted the copy and never installed it. But I did download apparently the same thing from the C|Net site since I know that site, installed and used the program. It did just what I wanted right away. Worked fine.
It would be better if everything in the window were 25-50% larger in pixels.
Also, I have no idea what the big hexagon is, and there is not enough documentation to explain it.
So far it works.

I have been a user for quite sometime. I am more comfortable with the ealier interface where you were dealing with only one window. probably ver. 1 or 2 I'm not sure. I find it indespensable when working on my web site. It is the only prog I know of that gives you the ease in matching shades and hues. Ted Diebold tdiebold.com

I have been a fan of Absolute Color picker for a long time now. I just recently re-downloaded it because Of a major system crash. I find it indisposable when working on creating a web site or even when making minor changes. When you are trying to match an exact shade of color it is the only tool I have found with the horsepower and ease of use. Ted diebold tdiebold.com

Problems galore with this piece of software. Installation apparently was smooth enough. Program wouldn't start Rec'd dialogue that it's stopped working, even before starting LOL.
While it sounds like a nice addition to graphics, and designing, can't really say as it hasn't worked since installation, and even having submitted a report to the company outlining the problem, have heard nothing in return.

Worked very very well. However I was looking for an export of the RGB values after I had found the new colors I wanted to use.
Thank you for the free program anyway, I know alot of time and effort went into creating it.

It was Useful
Was useful to quickly get a color close to that of the blog header images I wanted to coordinate with. With a few tweaks I was able to match it as close as I desired. Far easier than looking through color charts and getting nowhere.
Not exactly sure how to use all the functions and a easy cut and paste of the code on right click could be useful. With a little improvement I would defiantly pay for this tool. :-)
Very happy with it over all.

About the colour picker
I've only managed to test it a couple of times by trying to get a decent shade of gold. It seems like the copying mechanism is really nice and that can record a color really well. I still use it as stand alone software and i didnt manage to include it in photoshop. I guess i have to study some more cause for the moment I only copy the hex and paste it in the photoshop colour palette when needed. Thank you very much

I think it`s great but...
Price should be cheaper. But I think that it's great that you can grab any image and move around several points, infinite times to grab what you want.
I would say also, that it would be great --- at least I didn't find it yet --- to have a direct output if only the color palette, so that it can be imported directly to photoshop or just saved as a .jpeg.
If this tool exist, I would like to know how I can find it.
Thanks!

Simplifies Color Codes.
I use the Absolute Color Picker to pick up the color values for my web-graphics designs. I pick up the color from other pages, and can then enter them as HEX code color in my CSS to achive unifromity of color tones.
Its a pity that whenever you click APPLY, the program closes, and you have to restart the program.

This color picker needs work
I am only reviewing the free version, so if features available in the paid version differ, this review does not apply.
The interface design is very good. The eyedropper tool works very well, and is more of a snapshot of the area selected - which helps you see what pixels you're selecting - very good unique feature.
The options are very good as well, because being able to switch between different color charts helping to perfect your color - good tool for desaturating colors.
The problems I had with this tool render is almost unusable for anything other than generating a color code to input into another program, for example I can generate a color, and then input the corresponding RGB or HSB number into the source code of a web page - but I cannot save the color any way. I think users should be able to save their color files as a gif or jpeg background or color swatch and then input that into a paint/photo program.
Pressing the "Apply" button also shuts the program down - making the user reopen the program to review applied colors - not very handy.

Color Identification
Since I am color blind I was actually looking for a program to tell me what color I sample. Not only waht its technical features are (RGB etc) but also what is the color's NAME. The are products that do that, so the technology exists, but none of them is software based. Thanks
